Part 1: The Design
This design is an example of a basic furniture form and we see how it is put together and how it can be customized.
Part 2: Legs & Rails
Its all mortise and tenon joinery. This table has a lot of them!
Part 3: Panels
The top and shelf are glued up panels and we discuss this basic woodworking skill.
Part 4: Dye and Paint Finish
A blended natural and paint finish is very on trend and this covers the dye and paint, brushed finish.
As Usual, we build it all with hand tools...
No electrons were harmed during the building of this table. The mortise and tenons are all cut with a back saw and chisels. Very few tools are needed as this project is designed to be one of the first projects you build as a hand tool woodworker.
